About the walk

This walk to the ancient village takes you along the eastern edge of Tredinney Common with its moorland landscape, old quarries and views to the coast. It then passes through a wooded enclave to the hidden ancient well and then onto the enchanting walled settlement of stone houses and the underground fogou.

🚗 Getting there

From Penzance take the A30 towards Land’s End. After around five miles turn right at Crows-an-wra towards Lands End Airport. After half a mile you will find Chapel Carn Brae National Trust Car Park on your left

  • See if you can work out what the purpose of the fogou was - if you do, you'll be the first to know!
